"One
of Five tackles some of our most pressing social concerns including
poverty, alcohol addiction, aging, and mental health. Zimmerman's
intimate visual interpretation allows everyday people to tell their
own stories."
Donna Sue Groves,
Ohio Arts Council
"Highly
recommended...it conveys...the sense of hope grounded in love."
Carolyn Walden,
University of Alabama at Birmingham
"One
of Five quietly overcomes our prejudices…amazingly empathetic
and thoughtful."
Geoffrey Redick, Producer

"One
of Five takes you on a walk in another man's shoes! It's a visual
journey into the interior of overlooked places where love and strength
of the human spirit reside. You may never have been there, but you
will never forget!"
Charles Fox, Director
Ohio University School of Film
Though
it's his touch that makes the film, Zimmerman's absence from it
is what makes this documentary special. Zimmerman effectively removes
himself from the presentation, whereas many recent popular films
in the genre either include too much of the auteur (Michael Moore)
or focus solely on the documentarian (Morgan Spurlock). One of Five's
wide appeal isn't obvious at first blush... given its somewhat obscure
(commercially) focus, but with buzz-topics from mind-controlling
aliens to the plight of the urban elderly, it's sure to jar most
viewers. You likely don't care about the subjects (or people like
them) until you see this film. Zimmerman changes this. That's the
magic of One of Five.
